The Doors - Not Touch The Earth

Reminds me of home.

(This sounds good for an MP3 [it’s HD], but on vinyl, well, it’s so much better.)

The Beatles - Old Brown Shoe

One of my ‘all-time’ favorites. (There is a difference between an all-time favorite, and a random favorite song from an album.) Love the bass on this but apparently there’s some big debate over who played it—George…..or Paul. George said he himself played it, yet some people don’t believe so because it sounds more like Paul’s style. I don’t know The Beatles well enough to have an opinion. All I know is that it’s a great bass line. (but oh my god who played it???) I’m happy to see this on vinyl ‘cause I grew up with vinyl records til I was 11 years old.

Benny and Joon film clip (1992)

Cry-Baby film clip - with Iggy Pop

Best movie ever.

Talking Heads on the Old Grey Whistle Test 1978 - Psycho Killer

The Ohio Players performing “Fire” on The Midnight Special - 1975

This is some entertainment. The flames! The flames!

Soul Train - Michael Jackson - Beat It

Ok, I swear this is the last Soul Train I’m posting, but this one is something to behold. Almost every person here seems bizarre and self-indulgent. I mean, what were those people doing in the back? I was so glad it ended when it did because I didn’t want to know what Pirate Mime had planned.

Stevie Wonder performing on Soul Train, 1972

People knew how to dance back then….

Jus†ice - Audio, Video, Disco [album]

"Welcome to the Jungle" - Guns N’ Roses

I like looking at Axl Rose’s arms on this video, if any one needs to know that. And his hair, it looks a lot better all teased up. I’ve only heard about three GnR songs in my life. I was watching this muted while listening to “Civilization” by Justice and it seemed to go well together.

"Civilization" - Justice

While I have this open I’ll add these too:

Soul Train - Smooth Criminal

1987! Oh my god, so scary and intense and scary and intense and the drugs have clearly taken hold….

But this is a really good one.

"Miss You" - The Rolling Stones [1978 official promo video]

Some real disco, ha.
